2003年2月,云南省文物考古研究所为配合三峡工程建设,对位于重庆万州区武陵镇的中嘴遗址进行了考古发掘。本次发掘的遗存以隋唐时期为主,出土了陶器、瓷器以及其他遗物,从中透射出渔业活动是当时当地居民生产生活的一个重要方面,同时也可看到当地文化与周边文化的交流。
In February 2003, in accordance with the construction of the Three Gorges Project, the Yunnan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology conducted an archaeological excavation of the Zhongzui site located in Wuling Town, Wanzhou District, Chongqing. The remains of this excavation were mainly of the Sui and Tang dynasties. Pottery, porcelain and other artifacts were unearthed. The fishing activities were an important aspect of local people’s life and production at that time. At the same time, they also saw the exchange of local culture and the surrounding cultures.
