Due to its unique coastal resources, the two Huaihe areas have been one of the most important marine salt producing areas in China since ancient times. In particular, the shipping of the Grand Canal has provided convenient transportation for the transportation of Huai salt. After the Yellow River won the Huaihai into the sea and the eastern coastline of Jiangsu Province and other geographical reasons, leading to the decline of sea salt production in Huainan, to the late Qing improved. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the progress of technology and the improvement of production efficiency led to the rise of Haiyan in the Huaihe River, but with the development of well and mineral salts, Haiyan was withdrawn. This paper takes history as the axis to analyze the sea salt of Lianghuai, presents its rise and fall process and reveals its development connotation from a new angle.
