Naturally, the background world in historical fiction is the one that diverges from the world of “established history ” and is intended to envisage “what if history is not the case?” This special genre has experienced more than one hundred years of development and has always kept its profound thinking on the nature of history. It tries hard to reflect through the history to reflect the current concern and reflection on various current social issues. Probably historical novels subvert the notion of “historical authenticity,” breaking the linear structure of traditional history and emphasizing the role of individual behavior and contingency. As far as the mode of creation is concerned, such novels are characterized by strong postmodern narrative features (including intertextuality, metafiction, spatiality, etc.), but they are not simple denials of known histories, but rather, through different histories Contrasting with each other, enriching the dimensions of reader observation, triggering the thinking and criticizing of society, and promoting the transformation and revision of the human world to the present world.
