《清史列传》是一部关于清代人物传记的史学巨著。虽不题编纂人,然其材料丰富,内容征实,行文流畅,层次井然,堪称清代社会文化研究的必备参考。全书分宗室王公、大臣、忠义、儒林、文苑、循吏、贰臣、逆臣传八门,作传人物近三千人。入传人数之多,生平事迹之翔实,较之《清史稿》似更胜一筹。以文苑而论,《清史稿·文苑传》三卷350余人,而《清史列传·文苑传》有四卷,作传人物达650余人,规模超出将近一半。王钟翰先生点校的《清史列传》1987年由中华书局出版,因其质量上乘,备受 “Biography of Qing History” is a historical masterpiece about biography of Qing Dynasty.
