The development of digital medium accelerates documentaries’ international broadcasting. The documentary Roof of the World,which CCTV has broad-casted, tells the harmonious stories between Tibetans and the nature. This is a documentary which faces the whole world, and its English dubbing version is popular in international channel. The thesis includes five chapters. Firstly, it is a relevant background introduction of this documentary. Secondly, some relevant literature reviews on translation strategies and C-E documentary translation features are introduced. Then it is a study of domestication strategy and foreignization strategy in Roof of the World. Finally, it concludes that this documentary’s research of translation strategies will be useful for similar video works’ translation.
