中国古代商人在小农经济生产力条件下，一直遭遇着不公正的歧视。但随着商业在整个社会经济结构中的地位日显其重要性，商人及其经营理念也逐渐为主流社会所接纳。尤其商人的善德观，实与士大夫的正统道德信条不谋而合，从而加速了儒商结合与认同。而商人积极参与各项社会公益慈善事业，更加证明了他们在主流社会中正扮演着越来越重要的角色，起着超乎其职业特点的社会作用。 Ancient Chinese merchants have been encountering unfair discrimination under the conditions of their economic productivity. However, with the increasingly prominent position of commerce in the entire social and economic structure, businessmen and their business philosophy are gradually accepted by the mainstream society. In particular, the good morality of the merchants coincides with the orthodox moral creed of the scholar, accelerating the integration and identification of Confucian merchants. The active involvement of businessmen in all kinds of public welfare philanthropy further proves that they are playing an increasingly important role in mainstream society and play a social role beyond their professional characteristics.
