美国剧作家阿瑟·米勒的晚年作品《驶下摩根峰》兼具现实主义与表现主义特色。剧作整体节奏一方面体现于“开端——发展——高潮——结局”的外部情节架构上,另一方面体现于借助幻像等表现手法所产生的主人公“自我肯定与否定交替”的“心理节奏”上。剧作的微观节奏体现在停顿、台词长度及说话人交替等方面。节奏是建立、维系剧作家、剧作与观众之间对话的重要因素。
