AMP-activated protein kinase (AMP-activated protein kinase, AMPK) is a switch of energy metabolism in vivo. In recent years, AMPK has been developed rapidly. The GBD (glycogen-binding domain) region was found in its beta subunit, and the CBS cystathioninen? -synthase region was found in the gamma subunit and their function was studied. The vitality of AMPK is regulated by AMP through three different pathways in the body. In mammals, AMPK is found to be regulated by its upstream kinase LKB1, which is regulated not only by energy metabolism but also by gene expression, protein translation, and cell growth.
