目的探讨信号转导和转录活化因子3(signal transducers and activators of transcription 3,STAT3)、血管内皮生长因子(vascular endothelial growth factor,VEGF)和微血管密度(microvessel density,MVD)在肾上腺皮质癌(ACC)中的表达及其临床意义。方法选取经手术治疗且具有完整的临床、病理资料的肾上腺皮质肿瘤存档石蜡标本37例,其中良性组20例,恶性组(ACC组)17例。采用免疫组化技术,检测良、恶性肾上腺皮质肿瘤中STAT3、VEGF和MVD的表达情况。结果 STAT3在ACC组中呈高表达(11/17,64.71%),在良性组中表达较低(4/20,20%),ACC组与良性组之间STAT3的表达有显著性差异(P<0.05);VEGF在ACC组中呈高表达(12/17,70.59%),在良性组中表达较低(5/20,25%),VEGF在ACC组中的表达与在良性组中的表达有显著性差异(P<0.05);MVD在ACC组中的表达为76.40±15.64,良性组中为21.05±8.07,两者之间有显著性差异(P<0.05)。无论是在良性组中还是在ACC组中,STAT3与VEGF的表达、VEGF与MVD的表达均呈正相关。结论 STAT3和VEGF在ACC中的高表达为抗肿瘤血管生成治疗在ACC中的应用,提供了一定的理论依据。
Objective To investigate the role of signal transducers and activators of transcription 3 (STAT3), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and microvessel density (MVD) in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) In the expression and clinical significance. Methods Thirty-seven paraffin-embedded specimens of adrenal cortex with complete clinical and pathological data were selected. Among them, 20 cases were benign and 17 cases were malignant (ACC). Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of STAT3, VEGF and MVD in benign and malignant adrenocortical tumors. Results STAT3 was highly expressed in ACC group (11/17, 64.71%), lower in benign group (4/20%, 20%), and significantly different in ACC group and benign group (P <0.05). VEGF was highly expressed in the ACC group (12/17, 70.59%) and lower in the benign group (5/20, 25%). The expression of VEGF in the ACC group was significantly lower than that in the benign group (P <0.05). The expression of MVD in ACC group was 76.40 ± 15.64 and in benign group was 21.05 ± 8.07, there was a significant difference between the two groups (P <0.05). No matter in the benign group or the ACC group, STAT3 and VEGF expression, VEGF and MVD expression were positively correlated. Conclusion The high expression of STAT3 and VEGF in ACC may provide a theoretical basis for the application of antitumor angiogenesis therapy in ACC.
