Objective: To study the changes of the content of dipeptidyl peptidase II (DPPII) in the lens of D-galactosyloid cataract rats and normal rat lens and to explore the relationship between DPPII and cataract. Methods: Animal models of D-galactosytic cataract were established and divided into groups according to the stages. Western blot was used to detect the content of DPPII in the cataractous and normal rats. Results: The content of DPPII in each group of D-galactocerebral cataract rats was significantly higher than the normal control group, and with the degree of lens opacity increased. Conclusion: The content of DPPII in the lens of D-galactose-induced cataract rats may be related to the incidence of cataract.
