冶金工业部于7月28-31日在天津召开了钢丝绳生产促进会议。共出席68人包括有关生产企业、用户、各省市工业厅、冶金局,设计院等单位。国家技术委员会也派人列席参加。会议上用户们提出了今年明年需用钢丝绳及其他钢丝制品的迫切情况。为解决目前钢丝绳供应不足,会议上提出钢丝绳生产今年产量翻一番,明年产量再增五倍,品种花色三年齐全的奋斗目标。会议中参观了天津钢丝绳合股厂、天津第一钢丝厂、大成五金机械厂。大家对这些厂用简单的设备合股钢丝绳,用水箱拉丝机拉拔钢丝都很感兴趣。这些设备不仅结构简单,各厂都能自己制造,且造价低适合于各地方中小型工厂采用,给钢丝绳生产在全国遍地 The Ministry of Metallurgical Industry convened a wire rope production promotion meeting in Tianjin on July 28-31.
