In the late 1970s, Yang Jiang became a prestigious essayist because of “Six Notes to Doing a Good School,” and was famous as a novelist in the 1980s because of “taking a shower.” If pushed upwards, Yang Jiang in the 1950s and 1960s is a very influential translator and literary research expert. Further up and into the 1940s, she was also a playwright who was active before and after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War (she wrote several short stories at the same time, but the fiction lacks far less influence than drama). Xia Yan said he returned to Shanghai in 1945 from Chongqing and saw Yang Jiang’s script, bringing him fresh. Xia Yan refers to Yang Jiang’s two comedies, “Satisfied” and “True False,” Both the scripts have been received in the recently published “Yang Jiang Collection”
