In recent years, with the continuous development of economic globalization, China has become more and more closely connected with other countries in the world. Economic and trade activities between countries have been taking an integral part in China's economic development. The United States, as one of the largest economies in the world today, is one of China's most important trading partners. Business negotiation plays a vital role in Sino-US business exchanges. If we want to take the initiative and gain success in Sino-U.S. business negotiations, we must understand the differences between Chinese and American cultures, thereby reducing the possible misunderstandings and frictions that may arise during the cross-cultural business negotiation process. This article mainly studies the cultural differences between China and the United States and the influence of intercultural competence on Sino-U.S. business negotiations. We also tend to propose some ways to improve cross-cultural competence.
