民初时期(1912-1919),涌现了大量评述演员表演的专著与剧评文章。在这些专著与剧评中,民初剧评家们对戏剧表演的一些基本问题发表了独到的观点与见解,对民初戏剧表演艺术进行了初步的理论总结与概括。他们从演员的形象韵致、艺术素养、文化水平、品德修养、艺术境界等方面综合考虑,把色艺才德作为优秀演员的必备要素,把形神兼备、以神传情、追求“无我之境”作为优秀演员表演艺术的最高境界。
During the early Republican period (1912-1919), there were a large number of monographs and dramatic commentary on the performers’ performances. In these monographs and drama critics, the early period film critics in the Republic of China published unique views and opinions on some basic issues of theatrical performances and conducted a preliminary theoretical summary and generalization of the theater performing arts in the early Republican China. They take into consideration of the performers’ image, artistic accomplishment, cultural level, moral accomplishment and artistic realm. They regard the talent of the arts as an essential element of an outstanding performer, Habitat "as the highest performing arts actor.
