韩愈《闵己赋》一般认为是伤其不遇之作 ,但其中视颜回箪食瓢饮为细事则反映了中唐进士阶层的新特征 ,即进士官僚实为禄仕代耕 ,追求利欲的新兴阶层。韩愈作为有文化使命的士人又必然反对务利遗道 ,故《闵己赋》的主旨不仅是哀其不遇 ,也是哀叹身处物欲社会精神无所依归。此后其所作《原道》正是出于匡救当时社会趋利而遗道的世俗浮靡 ,试图解决《闵己赋》中的价值二重性问题 ,重新整合道利关系 ,以道统利 ,既要维护一个生养利欲的人伦日用社会 ,又要以仁义之道加以规范 ,以求得物欲社会中士人精神上的安身立命之所。

It was necessary to reintegrate the relations between Doli and Lee for both Dali and Lee, A benevolent society of birth and desires, but also to regulate the way of benevolence, in order to achieve spiritual life in the materialistic community of scholars who set their lives.
