我省玉米常年种植面积约1000万亩,占粮田总面积的20％,占粮食总产量的30％。玉米杂交种的育成和推广,使我省玉米亩产由100多公斤增加到250余公斤。据统计,在1970—1983年间,我省自育玉米良种应用于生产的多达114个。其中突出的有晋单3号,1977年全省推广111.8万亩,累计推广500万亩左右;晋单4号,1977年全省推广66.5万亩,累计推广200万亩以上;大单2号,1980年全省推广53.2万亩,累计推广250万亩以上。
The perennial planting area of corn in our province is about 10 million mu, accounting for 20% of the total grain crop area and accounting for 30% of the total grain output. The breeding and popularization of corn hybrids have increased the output of corn in our province from more than 100 kilograms to more than 250 kilograms.
