脑外科手术机器人SARAH(Surgery Assistant Robot Acting on the Head)将于五年内面世。这是经济合作和发展组织先进机器人计划内的项目。这个投资500万英镑的多国参加的项目是由英国牵头,英国贸工部已指定富尔默研究和发展公司组织、实施该项目的研究工作。脑很适宜于做自动操作的外科手术。因为颅骨很硬,不随人的呼吸颤动并有许多便于机器人手术操作的参考点,因而机器人能在脑内准确地使用手术刀。
The Brain Assistant Robot Acting on the Head (SARAH) will be available within five years. This is a project within the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Advanced Robotics Program. This multi-country investment of 5 million pounds was led by the United Kingdom, and the UK Department of Trade and Industry has designated the Fulmer Research and Development Corporation to organize and implement the project’s research work. The brain is very suitable for automatic surgery. Because the skull is very hard and does not flutter with people’s breathing and there are many reference points for robotic operation, the robot can accurately use the scalpel in the brain.
