大黄是重要中药之一,应用历史悠久,早在《神农本草经》中就有记载。主产于我国青海、甘肃、四川等地野生或栽培的蓼科植物掌叶大黄Rheum,Palmatum大黄Rofficinale,Baill或唐古特大黄Rfanguticum,Maxim,et,Balf的干燥根茎或根。药材以质坚实断面“锦纹”明显,红棕色,稍有油性,气清香,味苦而微涩,嚼之粘牙者为佳。大黄具有泻湿热,下积滞,行瘀,解毒的作用。常用于湿热便秘、积滞腹痛、湿热黄疸、急性兰尾炎、不完全肠梗阻,血瘀闭
