印江岩口抢险工程位于贵州省印江土家族苗族自治县境内.1996年9月18日在印江县上游印松公路1.1km 处,峨岭镇岩底村岩口处发生特大型牵引式深层基岩滑坡,阻塞印江河,造成河水位上涨,形成汇塞湖,引发了灾害。灾情发生后,贵州省政府委托,由省水利电力厅牵头组织专家组,提出了岩口抢险工程的应急整治方案,其中包括修建1号隧洞.由于1号隧洞开挖是在形成汇塞湖情况下进行的,而进口位于水下30m。为此,经研究确定了进口采用水下岩塞爆破方案施工。1号隧洞总长702.493m,开挖洞径7×7m,上游水位513m 时,相应泄流量为364m~3/s。岩塞区地层为下三迭系夜郎组玉龙小灰岩,岩性以厚层为主夹薄层
