教材中的咏春诗词结构精巧，笔墨简洁，勾画了春天的各种景色，渲染了无穷春意，使人感到春的气息扑面而来，犹如一台绚丽多姿的咏春联唱。不难看出，这些优美的诗篇大都出自唐人之手，而唐诗的艺术表现力是很强的。常常在极短的篇幅里，以简洁的语言去描述色彩缤纷的画面和作者复杂的情感，百读不厌。更为可贵的的是，这些诗词写景显情，情景相生，形似神似，浑然一体，达到了“神与物游”（刘勰）、情中景、景中情的绝妙境界。“敢遣春温上笔端”（鲁迅），“清诗句句尽堪传”（杜甫），它们分别以各自的情调与风格，以各自的韵律与形式吸引了一代又一代的欣赏者和研究者沉醉在其艺术芬芳中。
