新疆小麦族野生植物有１１属９９种，富含抗白粉病、抗锈病和抗麦蚜基因，染色体倍性变化复杂，是我国小麦种质资源的一个天然基因库。
There are 11 genera and 99 species of Triticeae wild plants in Xinjiang, which are rich in resistance to powdery mildew, rust-resistance and wheat aphid-resistant genes. Their chromosome ploidy changes are complex and are a natural gene pool of wheat germplasm resources in China.
