在英汉两种语言中都含有丰富的习语。习语是组成语言的一个重要的、特殊的、不可缺少的部分,习语言简意赅,形象生动,妙趣横生,涉及到地域、习俗、宗教信仰和典故等多个方面。习语在社会语言和文化中起着明显的作用,没有习语我们的语言就缺乏色彩和趣味。然而,习语也是有着不同文化背景的人进行交流的障碍,因此英汉习语的翻译一直是人们最关注的课题之一。本文旨在探讨英汉习语的特点及其文化的差异。
There are rich idioms in English and Chinese. Idioms are an important, special, and indispensable part of language composition. The idioms are concise and vivid, vivid and interesting, involving areas, customs, religious beliefs and allusions. Idioms play a significant role in social languages and cultures. Without idioms, our language lacks color and interest. However, idioms are also barriers for people with different cultural backgrounds to communicate. Therefore, the translation of English and Chinese idioms has always been one of the subjects most concerned by people. This article aims to explore the characteristics of English and Chinese idioms and their cultural differences.
