In order to study the nutritional effects of soluble seaweed polysaccharides, two kinds of soluble seaweed polysaccharides, sodium alginate and carrageenan, were respectively added to high cholesterol feed containing 1% cholesterol and 0.2% bile salt as the experimental groups of sodium alginate and carrageenan Animal feed; without seaweed polysaccharide feed for the control group, fed SD rats for 8 weeks. Experiments show that 5% sodium alginate blood lipids, liver lipids and platelet aggregation decreased, and does not affect rat feeding and growth. The addition of 5% or 10% carrageenan had no significant effect on hypolipidemic and hepatic lipids, did not reduce the hepatic / body weight ratio, and was not stable (or not sure) in reducing platelet aggregation. 10% of carrageenan reduced the average weight gain of rats by 12.17% (P> 0.05), and a few animals showed signs of mild diarrhea
