The article attempts to review the architectural developments of that time from the special historical situation in Taiwan after World War II, of which “American aid”, which was reactivated in 1951, played a key role in Taiwan’s political and economic changes. In 1965, the end of “U.S. aid” was also an era in which Taiwan’s buildings were flourishing and diversified. With the passage of time and with the normal operation of Taiwan’s construction and development returning to the social system, people are just beginning to realize the preciousness of the past. That asset was formed by many unexpected historical external forces combined with internal forces. If the Chinese want to find the driving force behind the building culture, the development of Taiwan during this period can not be ignored.
