政治视角是分析消费文化必不可少的逻辑;当人们被普遍置于消费这个“客观性”之上时,便容易走向普遍的政治冷淡,大众反抗的声音也便被排除,这有助于政治合法、社会稳定的达成。在这一消费文化被政治收编并为政治所用的过程中,传媒、市场和社会是三大支撑手段。传媒手段通过诉诸日常生活和均一化大众起作用,市场手段通过加速资本增殖和发挥经济话语权起作用,社会手段通过社会“模仿”机制起作用。
