Hydraulically controlled plate mills quickly adjust the roll gap and therefore achieve very small tolerances. As the limits of thickness and profile shape tolerances become more and more stringent, research efforts to improve control of thickness and cross-sectional shape have become more intense, accelerating the development and deployment of hydraulic press plate mills. In the plate mill, there are many reasons that may cause variations in the thickness, which can be roughly divided into internal (material) and external (equipment) two. Internal factors include: 1.
