“长江深断裂”的争论，由来已久，而帽子山候选厂址就紧邻长江。本文从沉积建造、沿江红盆、地球物理特征诸方面，否定了帽子山候选厂址区域范围内沿现代长江河道九江—安庆段“长江深断裂”的存在。并在系统的第四纪地质调查的基础上，认为沿九江—安庆段现代长江河道早更新世以来无断裂活动。
The controversy over the “deep cleavage of the Yangtze River” has been taking place for a long time, and the hat hill candidate site is immediately adjacent to the Yangtze River. This article negates the existence of the “Changjiang deep fault” along the Jiujiang-Anqing section of the modern Yangtze River from the aspects of sedimentation and construction, Honghe basin along the Yangtze River, and geophysical characteristics. On the basis of Quaternary geological survey of the system, it is concluded that there is no fault activity since the Early Pleistocene along the Jiujiang-Anqing Section of the Yangtze River.
