本文采用语料库驱动研究方法,探索中国学者学术英语语料库中动词模糊语的序列及意义。数据分析表明,研究客体中复现的模糊动词词语序列呈现8个型式。具体的词语序列在学术文本中主要实施5种篇章功能:解释数据、表述声言、验证模型/理论、推理和转述;表达4种策略意义:准确表述策略、共识策略、声言责任策略和介入策略。这些功能的实现依赖于词汇、型式、篇章结构等诸多因素的共选。
In this paper, corpus-driven research methods are used to explore the sequence and significance of verb vagueness in Chinese scholars’ academic English corpus. Data analysis shows that there are eight types of fuzzy verb sequences recurring in the research object. The specific sequence of words mainly carries out five kinds of chapter functions in academic texts: interpreting data, expressing discourses, verifying models / theories, reasoning and relaying; expressing the meaning of four strategies: accurately describing strategy, consensus strategy, sound responsibility strategy and intervention strategy. The realization of these functions depends on the common choice of many factors such as vocabulary, type, text structure.
