The proportion of the remuneration of laborers in China’s GDP has declined for 22 years, from a peak of 56.5% in 1983 to 36.7% in 2005. In stark contrast, from 1978 to 2005, the proportion of capital paid to GDP increased by 20 percentage points. The latest survey of the National Federation of Trade Unions
