法源寺始建于唐朝贞观年间，至今已有１３００多年的历史，是北京城内最古老的寺庙。该寺建筑规模宏大、壮观，是历朝帝王亲自临幸斋僧建道的主要寺庙，因此在历史长河中法源寺的命运与中国命运息息相关。法源寺不仅文物荟萃，而且花木繁多名贵，历代名家多咏诗赞叹。解放后党和国家倍加关怀，多次修茸，已经对外开放，是人们游览之地，也是研究中国佛学的学府。
Fayuan Temple was built in the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty. It has a history of 1300 years and is the oldest temple in Beijing. The temple’s architectural scale is grand and spectacular. It is the main temple where the imperial priests personally made their fortune in the fasting of the Zhai Temple. Therefore, the fate of Fayuan Temple in the long history is closely related to the Chinese destiny. Fayuan Temple is not only a collection of cultural relics, but also a large number of valuable flowers and plants. After the liberation of the party and the country, they were more concerned with the matter and had repeatedly cultivated their antler. They have been open to the outside world and are places for people to visit, and they are also institutions for studying Chinese Buddhist studies.
