This is a Pakistani bottom-level narrative novel depicting the subsistence of Pakistani people living in American society and their subdued desires for life. In the novel, the electrician Naweibudin can do without lack of cunning, robber vicious and pity. Writers are good at portraying characters through details, and ultimately pass on to readers the strife and deprivation of basic conscience of people in poverty. In the diachronic narrative state, the writer organically and intelligently blends the situation with the real scene, so that the reader can reflect on the human nature even more deeply while thinking about why the conscience of the character has been harmed.
