Frank Kermode’s The Age of Shakespeare describes some background information regarding drama’s development in Renaissance.Kermode’s work helps to illustrate a fact that the reason of Drama’s flourishing development during Renaissance has a close relationship with the Reformation,the ruler’s support and a few innovations for dramas,which could be illustrated from Christopher Marlowe’s The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus.
