我国植物资源丰富,近年在蔬菜地方品种调查整理工作中,不断发现新型品种。山西农业科学院研究员周祥麟,1982年,从收获的585个南瓜中,发现襄汾县小北瓜品系中,有两个南瓜的种子没有种皮,纯系裸仁型南瓜。此后他对这种无种皮南瓜的遗传规律进行了研究,终于培育成功了世代相传的裸仁型南瓜。现已初步探知,裸仁种子是由一对隐性基因所控制,独立遗传,当一对基因呈隐性同质体时,即表现为裸仁型,并正式定名为‘6518’裸仁型南瓜。这一科研成果已于1984年10月在山西省农科院鉴定会上通过鉴定,并在建国三十五周年农业科技成果展览会上展出。

This scientific research achievement was appraised in appraisal meeting of Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences in October 1984 and was exhibited on the 35th Anniversary of Agricultural Science and Technology Achievements Exhibition.
