The detection of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) is of high value in the diagnosis of primary liver cancer, but there are false positives and false negatives, which is difficult to diagnose, and CA-50 has a high positive rate for primary liver cancer. Jointly examine the two to discuss its diagnostic value and clinical use value. Materials and Methods 1. Clinical data: 133 outpatients (102 males and 31 females) were selected from January 1997 to December 1998 in our hospital, including 92 cases of primary liver cancer and 41 cases of metastatic liver cancer. 27 to 78 years old, average 53.8 years old, were confirmed by ultrasound, CT, or pathological biopsy. The primary lesions of metastatic liver cancer were from 15 cases of stomach, 9 cases of intestine, 2 cases of pancreas, 1 case of gallbladder, 3 cases of breast, and 1 case of thymus. 10 cases of lung. Thirty healthy subjects (18 males and 12 females) served as a control group with an average age of 51.6 years.
