尽管目前海内外研究徐悲鸿的专著、论文已经非常丰富,但就笔者视野所及,很少有人专门讨论1933年至1934年期间徐悲鸿先生赴欧洲巡回展览中国画这个个案。本文尝试从前辈学人的已有研究出发,依据现有史料,借对徐悲鸿欧洲中国画巡展这个事件的梳理及分析,来考察他在异质文化的碰撞中所体现出的中国画观念及相关问题。一、欧洲中国画展览始末1933年的欧洲中国画展共包括7次画展(其中有两个展览是徐悲鸿的个人展览)。我们从王震撰写的徐悲鸿年表可知,这并非是他首次在欧洲举办展览:
Although there are so many monographs and essays on Xu Beihong studying at home and abroad, as far as the author’s field of vision is concerned, few have been specifically discussing the case of Mr. Xu Beihong going to the European circuit exhibition of Chinese painting from 1933 to 1934. Based on the existing historical data, this essay explores the Chinese painting concepts and related issues in the collision of heterogeneous cultures based on the existing historical data and through the analysis and analysis of Xu Beihong’s European tour of Chinese painting. I. European Chinese Painting Exhibition The 1933 European Chinese Painting Exhibition includes seven exhibitions (two of which are Xu Beihong’s solo exhibitions).
