西部农村中学英语教师的专业知识水平、教育教学能力及信息技术应用能力都亟待提高。文章认为开展信息技术与英语专业知识教学相结合的教师专业培训既能培养英语教师的自主学习能力,促进教师自身的专业发展,又能使农村远程教育资源得到有效利用,改进课堂教学。在此基础上提出了西部农村中学英语教师继续教育的模式。 Western rural middle school English teachers’ professional knowledge, education and teaching ability and application of information technology urgently need to be improved. The article holds that carrying out the teacher professional training that combines information technology with English teaching of professional knowledge can not only cultivate the self-learning ability of English teachers, promote their own professional development, but also make effective use of rural distance education resources and improve classroom teaching. On this basis, the paper proposes the mode of continuing education for English teachers in western rural middle schools.
