Gothic fiction has experienced about 60 years of exploration and development since it was born, and finally made it gradually decline due to the influence of the traditional mode and consumption control. The differences between gothic novels and horror novels and supernatural novels also became vague, And much to be replaced by the trend. However, with the breakthrough and development of the American writer Allen Poe on the tradition of Gothic fiction, the Gothic novel is infused with new vital signs. First, the poetic pursuit of “combining death and beauty” with fantastic colors; Second, from the simple “psychological terrorist” performance to the introspective exploration of “inner terror”, and then consciously rehearsing the absurd existence of mankind in a predictable attitude, making the Gothic novel full of tradition beyond tradition Form of strong vitality.
