蜡梅科是一个古老的科，包括３属９种和２变种．全科皆为虫媒花．美国蜡梅属的传粉昆虫仅为古老起源的露尾甲科和蓬根露尾甲科的甲虫，蜡梅属的传粉昆虫皆为现代起源的蜜蜂科和食蚜蝇科的蜂和蚜蝇，而夏蜡梅既有球螋科，又有蜜蜂科和食蚜蝇科的昆虫传粉．传粉昆虫的历史起源可能反映植物的系统发育．据此推测，在蜡梅科内，美国蜡梅属比较原始，夏蜡梅属比较进化，而蜡梅属最为进化．
Cyperaceae is an ancient family of three genera and two species. All subjects are insecticide flowers. The pollinators of the genus Capreolus are only the beetles of the ancient origin and the beetles of the genus Punta, and the pollinators of the genus Capreolus are both bees and syrphids of the syrphidae, Sinocalyx both the family Polypodidae, but also bee and Syrmaticidae insects pollination. The historical origins of pollinating insects may reflect the phylogeny of plants. Based on this, we speculate that within the plant of Chimonanthus, the genus Chimonanthus is relatively primitive, the genus Chimonanthus is more evolved, and the genus Chimonanthus is most evolved.
