母亲曾经是一名教师,小学教师。在方圆几个村子,跟母亲差不多大的女性中,母亲的学历最高。母亲教过的学生遍布了方圆几个村子,而且很多都有了出息,走出了小山村,去了很远的城市发展,成了有出息的人。每一年的教师节,母亲都会收到很多从全国各地寄来的问候。有鲜花,有卡片,有书籍……母亲退休以后,喜欢看电视,尤其喜欢看《新闻联播》。父亲有时候就笑话母亲:“退了退了,倒关心起国家大事来了!”母亲就反驳:“没有国哪有家!光说我,你不也在关心吗?”父亲笑。父亲是个退伍军人,参加过越南自卫反击战。 My mother used to be a teacher, primary school teacher.
