Corn is the main crop in Liaoning Province, with annual planting area of nearly 1.33 million hm2, accounting for about 50% of the area of food crops. Planting grass in the field has been an important issue that plagues corn production. Since the middle and late 1990s, the chemical weed control on dryland mainly corn has been rapidly developed.
