Every individual in the hierarchy has been designed to move up the hierarchy, but many studies have found that there are “invisible ceilings” for ordinary people in the hierarchy. This paper attempts to trace the meaning of L about how ordinary individuals define themselves to flow to the upper classes of society by studying L’s motivation for further studies. This paper uses the theory of phenomenological sociology to interpret the life cycle of L cases. Through deep digging, it was found that case L not only possessed its own unique career promotion predicament, but also regarded it as a type of ordinary people. In fact, the general population faced the helpless promotion difficulties.
