白居易的思想受庄子影响较大,他在青年时代便对庄子产生浓厚的兴趣。白居易受庄子思想影响表现为自己思想体系中的浓重的生命意识,包括死亡意识和对“适”的境界的追求。这方面还有一个媒介,即对陶渊明的学习和模仿,对陶渊明式心态的锻炼。白居易的社会理想继承庄子思想的痕迹也十分明显。另外庄子认识论上的齐万物、等贵贱、一生死、泯是非等相对主义思想对白居易的影响也很大。 Chuang-tzu’s thinking was greatly influenced by Chuang-tzu.
