我国自清末民初以来,大城市就开始出现住宅问题。其中又以住房短缺、房租高涨、房屋租赁关系混乱最为突出。八年抗战,更是让这一问题雪上加霜。1932年12月1日出版的《中央日报》曾用“突飞猛进”和“一日千里之势”来描述当时广州房租的上涨,一间房的租金在5年之内翻了3倍,房租占到生活开支的近三分之一。当时的国民政府也曾出台了多条法律法规,意在对出租屋管理进行规范,化解由此引发的种种社会矛盾。
Since the end of Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the big cities began to have housing problems.
