After the incident in southern Anhui Province in 1941, the Kuomintang authorities always took the military and news blockade in northern Shaanxi, denigrated the Communist Party’s achievements in the war of resistance against Japan and slandered the party-government-civil-military relations in the base areas. Instead, it has caused some media reporters, especially foreign journalists, great interest in the Communist Party. Most of these journalists are neither communists nor sympathizers of the Communist Party. Harrison Forman, a correspondent for the U.S. Associated Press and the London Times, is one of them
