介绍了国内外有关降低收获时子粒含水量的玉米育种概况。玉米收获时子粒含水量是由成熟时子粒含水量和成熟至收获期间脱水速度与时间决定的。选择脱水快的基因型是降低收获时子粒含水量的主要途径。根据子粒含水量与脱水速度的遗传特点及其相关性状进行育种，培育收获时子粒含水量低的玉米杂交种具有重要意义。
