北京站是首都的门户,每天旅客流量达七万至十万人,客货运输任务十分繁重。随着我国“四化”建设的发展,北京的车站站房、站前广场和公共交通场站,迫切需要改建或扩建。目前北京市内用地紧张,如何适应这种情况并实现现代化的要求,是我们必须考虑的一个课题。为此,我们对北京火车站进行了一些调查,发现存在不少问题,并查阅了一些国外资料,感到:一个交通枢纽在规划和建设上,是“综合”布局还是“分散”布局;是“方便旅客”还是“方便管理”;是“全面规划、统一建设”还是“零敲碎打、填填补补”;是“统一领导”还是“各自为政”,是个值得探讨的重要问题。国 Beijing Railway Station is the gateway to the capital.
