1 Basic profile Fangshan County is located in the Beichuan Basin in the middle of Luliang Mountain in Shanxi Province. There are 4 towns and 7 townships, 274 administrative villages and 128,000 people in the county, with a total land area of 1,434.1km2, of which soil erosion area is 897km2 62.6% of the total area.
