This spring, I received a magazine “Fine Arts” from France that I received in France and learned that the art creation project of major historical themes in China started to start. In those days, I linger in the Louvre’s large-scale French painting hall. At that time, I felt a little like the soldier who had heard gunshots of distant battlefields. National investment, government staples such a large artwork creation way is very good. Even in the West, a considerable portion of large-scale paintings and sculptures have to be ordered by the churches and the government. This shows that the creation of large-scale art works has its unique mechanism. In the past two decades or so, due to our economic construction as the center, the relative lack of investment by the country in culture and the arts led to a lag in the art creation of major historical themes and major realistic themes that represent the country’s historical and cultural images. Personally, I think that the funding issue should no longer be an obstacle to the state’s investment in making major theme art. This is a very good account, less built a luxurious hall hall, we can for the country to accumulate a large amount of cultural wealth.
