According to the British Daily Mail, scientists now use the world’s fastest supercomputer to simulate viral videos and images of the virus that causes the most common cold, and they hope these amazing images will help study new drugs for the treatment of colds. A team from the University of Melbourne, Australia, mimicked the complete genome of human rhinoviruses, and usually 50% of cases of cold are directly related to the rhinovirus. These 3D images were synthesized by the University of Melbourne earlier this month through IBM Blue Gene Q Supercomputer simulations. Supercomputers can analyze deeper the role of drug molecules in human cells, especially when the drug is at the molecular level. According to Dr. John Wagner, head of the IBM Life Sciences Collaborative Laboratory, the meter
