Objective To investigate the changes of serum lipoprotein associated phospholipase (LP-PLA2) and C-reactive protein (CRP) in patients with coronary heart disease and its clinical significance. Methods From June 2010 to June 2012, 90 CHD patients diagnosed and treated in our hospital were included in this study. They included 30 patients with acute myocardial infarction, 30 patients with unstable angina and 30 patients with stable angina Patients, as well as 90 healthy subjects from our hospital physical examination center, were used as the control group. The levels of LP-PLA2 and CRP in all the subjects were detected and compared by double-antibody sandwich ELISA. Results Compared with the control group, the levels of LP-PLA2 and CRP in the observation group were significantly increased (P <0.05); and in patients with different types of coronary heart disease, such as stable angina pectoris, unstable angina pectoris and acute myocardial infarction, LP-PLA2 , CRP levels in turn significantly higher (P <0.05), and its level increased with the increase of the disease. Conclusion Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase and C-reactive protein are all involved in the pathogenesis and development of coronary heart disease and play an important role.
